Eagles Soar Along the Fox River

428605_10150533281164067_2124538598_nThe Fox River is known as a wintering site for hundreds of Bald Eagles, and January into early February is the best time for viewing. While it’s common to see an eagle here and there soaring over the Fox River, if you want to get a closer look and participate in some educational sessions you’ll want to check out Eagle Days Along the Fox River. This event is a collaboration between 1000 Islands Environmental Center in Kaukauna Eagle Days and the Fox Cities A Day with Eagles events. Together they highlight the significance of the bald eagle in the Fox Valley through hands-on activities and live bird presentations.

The official dates for upcoming Eagles Days activities are January 21 and 28. If you wish to explore the eagles habitats and view on your own, they’ve provided a map and list of locations throughout the Fox Cities with the best spots and times for eagle viewing. CLICK HERE for details!
