Summertime = Outdoor Dining Season

The weather these past few weeks have proved that summer is officially here. One of my favorite seasonal pastimes is meeting up with friends for meals and drinks in an outdoor setting to enjoy the weather. My back deck is not set up very well for entertaining groups of friends, but lucky for me, the Fox Cities has many amazing patio options from the downtown area to gorgeous waterfront views. The biggest bonus for me when dining out… I don’t have to make the food or drinks myself! We can just sit back and enjoy the day with friends and family

I belong to several professional and social networking groups that hold weekly and monthly lunches and Happy Hours around the Fox Cities. The attendance is always a lot larger in the summertime when we can be outside enjoying the sunshine. We have many favorite spots including Bazil’s and D2 in downtown Appleton, Pullmans and Fratellos on the locks in Appleton, Waverly Beach in Menasha, Willie Beamons in Neenah, and Tanners Bar & Grill in Kimberly.

Tanners (1)Some restaurants and pubs will also have live entertainment on their patios.  The Stone Cellar Brewpub has live entertainment on Tuesday nights, in the courtyard at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel on Wednesday nights, Headliners Bar & Grill on Thursday nights and Spats has live shows on multiple nights during the week and weekends.

Make this summer even more enjoyable by soaking up the sun, taking in some live music and dining with friends on one of the Fox Cities fabulous patios. Check out our website for a full list of restaurants and more information on these venues.
